Soc Stud: Week of 12/17 - 12/21

Social Studies 10/15 - 10/17

Remember that I will gladly take your TYPED Carnegie outlines this week, but that the official due date is not until A=10/25 & B=10/27. We begin our first geography unit this week. It is on Africa. This week we are working in our atlases, so be sure to find yours and bring it to class. Two maps and an atlas worksheet are due this week. You will need to do 4 current events articles by the end of the unit and have a HUGE map test the end of the month.

Andrew Carnegie- an American hero or not? We will be analyzing documents (primary and secondary) to search for an answer to this question. Group presentations will happen and students will decide for themselves if he was a hero or not. Final project is a properly formatted outline that identifies documents that support their thoughts.
